How about outside? After spending so much time indoors lately I have the need to feel the sand beneath my feet.
One of my favourite places in all nature is the beach. I spend as much time as I can on the beach – it’s the romance of the rocks and the creatures that can be found in the pools. The soothing beauty of the sound of crashing water – its power as it smashes itself against rocks and the delicacy of the sprays of water. Yes, the nature of the ocean that is both feminine and masculine and it’s the balance it brings to my soul after a period of time in the big city. Mmmm, I do so have a love affair going with the ocean. I’m in such Gratitude to the ocean and the respite it gives me when I need to heal. And I heal. THANK YOU OCEAN! THANK YOU UNIVERSE!
Mountains are another special place, forests too, ahhh what the heck! All of nature is spectacular if we just open our eyes and look! Really look. The shades of magenta and orange of a sunrise or sunset, the softness of a winter morning sun, the bright greens of a forest, the contrast of desert and sky – there is so much if we just look… look and breathe.
Because that is what nature gives us – the opportunity to experience ourselves as part of something magnificent, huge, so much bigger. Mother Nature gives us the gift of connecting to her in the simplest and most wondrous ways, all we have to do is meet her at her “home” to do it.
Heart Thoughts:
- Where is your favourite place in nature ?
- What are the things that make it up? (eg the things that make up mine is water, sea animals, sand, air, sky, clouds, rocks)
- If you close your eyes and you see your place, what do you see that you didn’t see before?
- Do you notice how it all works together perfectly?
Heart Note:
Express your Gratitude for this place of regeneration for your soul. Express your awe of Nature’s abundance. Give thanks for the trees that make the oxygen you breathe, the stars, the earth, the moon, the sun, the galaxy that supports, sustains and nurtures you. Our home is called “Mother Earth” for good reason.
Pick up your special journal and pen and create a “love” picture of your special connection with Mother Earth and Nature.
Parting shot… do this later, I’m grabbing my camera and getting my feet wet. What are you doing now?
In Gratitude
